At Harvest Christian Academy, we believe reading and language arts is a foundational building block for all learning. Our scholars begin reading fluently as early as Kindergarten 1 (4-5years).
With the ubiquitous internet and other media, our children live in a world where they are surrounded by written and spoken words. Our goal is to develop independent life-long learners, who adroitly navigate this written and spoken world that surrounds them.
All students are motivated at Harvest to see themselves as readers, writers and orators, using language in thinking, learning and for effective communication. In the end it is the effective communicator of words and ideas who end up leading in their societies.
At Harvest, we are developing world class leaders. For students who need it, a reading intervention program, created through the joint effort of our language teachers, offers students the ability to reach individual goals, helping to reach their full potential in this area.
