The Primary Section of Harvest Christian Academy runs the Cambridge Primary Programme. The curriculum is child-centred, teacher friendly – and it is used mostly by the best primary schools around the world. The Cambridge Primary starts learners on an exciting educational journey, helping them to become confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged. It is typically for students aged 5 to 11 years. It enables your child to take responsibility for his or her learning by involving in activities such as planning, researching, recording, and interacting with teachers and other students.
The CAIE focuses on developing children’s learning through a structure that is based on learning goals of each subject. Cambridge encourages active learning approach to deliver a class, which involves learners being engaged in their learning rather than passively listening and copying information. This approach helps to build communication, collaboration, cooperation and thoughtfulness which is are required 21st century skills needed to thrive.
We offer the following subjects which your child will learn : Mathematics, English, Science, Computing, History, Geography, Music, Physical Education, PSHE, Global Perspective .
Global Perspective is a subject which will help your child develop a sense of “international mindedness,” which is required to become a global citizen with an ability to succeed anywhere in the world.
By enrolling your child in our Cambridge Primary Programme, he or she will attain all the unit-by-unit learning goals of the Cambridge Assessment International Education.
Our Primary School Age Categories
For your child to be qualified for enrollment in our Primary School, he or she must be of a minimum age by 1st of September of the school year.
Year 1: 5 years and above
Year 2: 6 years and above
Year 3: 7 years and above
Year 4: 8 years and above
Year 5: 9 years and above
Year 6: 10 years and above
