From the Crèche program our young learners enter the nursery program, with the foundational building blocks to continue their exciting journey in literacy, numeracy, shapes and colors.
Using phonics, we lay a solid and enduring foundation in teaching our learners to know and recognize the sounds and letters of the English alphabet. With this phonics based approach, we aim to create early and lifelong readers. We subscribe to the adage “Readers are leaders.” Early reading proficiency creates confidence and success in all other areas of study be it mathematics, science, humanities etc. ensuring lifelong success in pre-school, primary, secondary school and beyond.
Our program also works on developing the fine motor skills of our learners. Training in writing alphabets and numerals is also introduced at this key stage. At Harvest, our curriculum is a healthy mix of activities, musical experiences, language learning, mixed with both indoor and outdoor exploration and play. We engage a holistic approach to the learning and development of our young scholars.
