Welcome to Preschool

Where curiosity becomes a way of learning.

At Harvest Christian Academy Preschool, we believe the early years are not simply preparation for school. They are a powerful stage of discovery, relationship, confidence and development.

Our teaching approach is child-centred. We provide structured opportunities for learning while giving children room to explore, play, communicate, experiment and develop at their own pace.

A home away from home. From our Crèche through Nursery and Kindergarten, we create a safe, caring and stimulating environment where young children can build the foundations for lifelong learning.
Our Early Years Journey

Every stage has a purpose.

Our early-years programme supports children from their first experiences of structured learning through the foundational years before Primary School.

Our Crèche

More than care.
A foundation.

At Harvest, our youngest learners begin their educational journey in an environment designed around care, security and early development.

Our Crèche caters for children from 3 months to 18 months. We see this stage as the beginning of a child's relationship with learning, people and the world around them.

The Harvest Difference

Why families choose Harvest.

We want the first years of education to be filled with meaningful experiences, loving relationships and opportunities for every child to discover what they can do.

1
Child-Centred Learning Children are supported rather than simply instructed, allowing their individual interests and development to matter.
2
Loving & Safe Environment We create an environment where children feel known, cared for, secure and ready to learn.
3
Christian Foundation Faith, character, kindness, respect and service are part of the wider HCA experience.
4
Hands-On Experiences Children learn through activities, exploration, small-group instruction and experiences connected to real life.
5
Individual Attention Smaller learning environments allow teachers to recognise children's needs, interests and emerging strengths.
Early Years Development

Growing the whole child.

Our Preschool curriculum places particular emphasis on three foundational areas that help children become confident, capable and enthusiastic learners.

01

Communication & Language

Children develop the ability to listen, communicate, express ideas, ask questions and engage confidently with the people around them.

02

Physical Development

Movement, coordination, fine-motor activities and physical exploration help children develop control, confidence and independence.

03

Personal, Social & Emotional Development

Children learn to understand themselves, form healthy relationships, manage emotions and develop confidence as members of a community.

Learning Through Experience

Little hands.
Big discoveries.

Preschool learning at HCA goes beyond worksheets. Children explore, build, create, communicate, experiment and play as they make sense of the world around them.

Home & School

We grow children together.

The early years work best when parents and teachers work together. We value communication, partnership and a shared commitment to helping each child grow.

From the first day at school, we want parents to feel confident that their child is known, supported and cared for.

What matters to us

We want every child to leave the Preschool stage with growing confidence, stronger independence, curiosity and a genuine excitement about learning.

✓ A child who feels loved
✓ A child who is confident to explore
✓ A child who communicates
✓ A child who learns to care for others
✓ A child who is excited about learning
