Our History From 2013

Harvest Christian Academy was originally founded in Houston, Texas, USA under the ministry of Harvest Time Church in 1999. Bishop Shelton Bady is the founding Bishop of Harvest Time Church.

In July 2013 Pastor Nana Kyei-Amponsah, one of the Assistant Pastors in the USA Church, under the direction of the Holy Spirit, relocated to Ghana with his wife, Betty Kyei-Amponsah to start Harvest Christian Academy -Ghana.

Even though we are a branch school, we are autonomous in the establishment of our particular vision and mission. We believe the Lord has called us to Ghana, to answer a specific need in raising God fearing leaders who excel in every area of academics.

Spintex Facility

We are currently conveniently located on a quiet residential street, about 100 meters off the Spintex Road in Accra. Directly behind Danpong Health Facility and Ecobank. Our three (3) Storey building is clean, spacious, and well-ventilated. Our facilities boast a well-resourced library, state-of-the-art ICT lab, music room, and air-conditioned Classrooms in the preschool area.

Adenta Facility

Our second location is a preschool located in Adenta, Accra. The Adenta facility is in a quiet residential area, opposite the Adenta Clinic, about 120 meters from Delcam College and the Adenta Barrier Police Station. Our Preschool classes have a low student-to-teacher ratio. The environment is clean, spacious, and colorful. All our classrooms are air-conditioned and well-ventilated.

Our Goals

At Harvest, we make it our goal to create a happy, loving and exciting environment, where our students feel loved and cared for. Our Goals are as easy as ABC

Happy Children

Great Learning

Satistied Parents

Principal's message

Here at HCA we allow the students to express themselves effectively, set positive goals, and develop empathy, which is necessary to be able to recognize and understand the feelings and emotions of others.

HCA teachers teach students to manage their emotions, understand themselves better, take care of their own well-being, and bring out their full potential. And when students learn these skill, wonderful things like this can happen:

They increase in confidence and self-esteem by recognizing their strengths and needs.

Their motivation to learn new things also increases.

Welcome to Harvest Christian Academy-Ghana (HCAGH). HCAGH is recognized as a safe, secure and loving environment, where students receive an excellent education, built on a strong Christian foundation. It is our firm belief that all children are uniquely gifted by God. Our teachers and staff are dedicated to identifying, nurturing and cultivating their gifts, so our students can become productive citizens, who will serve their world with excellence.

At HCAGH, students experience lessons that promote critical thinking through small group instruction, hands-on activities and other research-based learning and teaching strategies that are relevant to life’s experiences. According to research from Dr. Richard D. Jones of the International Center for Leadership in Education, “simply telling or encouraging students to engage themselves in their class work is seldom enough. The engagement-based learning and teaching (EBLT) approach provides the foundation for developing and strengthening student engagement and the overall learning process. This foundation is built through specific principles, habits, skills, and strategies.

At Harvest, our slogan which acts as a simplified goal is “Happy Children,” “Great Learning,” “Satisfied Parents.” We honestly believe that students learn best when they are happy. All students at our school are treated with great love and respect. We understand that to be able to impart knowledge; we must first love our way into their heart. We recognize and celebrate their unique and different personalities. We understand that students learn best from people they like. Research further shows that children perform best in the subjects taught by their favorite teacher. At Harvest Christian Academy, every teacher is a favorite. We work hard at gaining the love and admiration of our students before attempting to teach them anything. This naturally creates a happy environment, resulting in Happy Children. Happy children naturally stimulate a Great Learning environment, and the natural result of all this, are Satisfied Parents! At Harvest Christian Academy, we are very interested in satisfying our parents. As educational professionals, we intuitively know and understand that a parent ultimately needs results, so we go after it. What we ask is for our parents to trust us with their children, and to have faith and confidence in our methods, knowing that we are on the same team. We both want a successful learning outcome for our students.

Thank you for considering our school. If possible, we would love to have you schedule a campus visit, so we can have the pleasure of meeting you, face to face. Thanks again.

Managing Director's Message

In July 2013, when my family and I, left our comfortable home and life in Houston, Texas for Ghana, on a mission from The Lord to establish Harvest Christian Academy, the only scripture that was ringing in my heart was Matthew 20:28a. “Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve…”(NKJV). We were determined to forsake all comfort and the familiar trappings of life in the USA, to venture into the plan and destiny of God for our life. To return to Africa, to serve.

We came with a vision of building a school that is very strong in academics, built on the unshakeable foundation of the Word of God. We envisioned a school where the directors, teachers and staff, love the students and their families, and evidence this love through humility and service. Ours is a mission of mentoring, nurturing and raising-up “modern-day Daniels.” Children of strong-spirit, character and love for God, who excel in every area of academics. In keeping with our mission, the New King James Version of the Holy Bible is a required textbook for all students beginning from Primary 1 (6-7yrs). Our children learn to read fluently by Kindergarten 1 (4-5yrs) and by Primary 1 are capable of reading and comprehending the Holy Bible.

Harvest Christian Academy’s students are being led to both recognize and perfect their God-given talents which will allow them to go into their world and serve in Godly wisdom and excellence. Our prophetic declaration over our children is that, like Daniel of biblical times, our children are ten times smarter in all matters of wisdom and understanding than all their peers (Daniel 1:20).

Africa and the World is a better place because of these students. They are being trained to take their God-ordained place in their nations, to serve God and humanity in humility and excellence.

Thank you for considering our Harvest Family. We know you and your family will love it here!
